Invoice2go's cheaper plans stop at 30 or 100 invoices a year. These alternatives give you more room, several of them for free.

Ranked list of Invoice2go alternatives with their invoice limits

The most common reason people leave Invoice2go is the cap. Its Starter plan allows 30 invoices a year and Professional allows 100; only Premium is unlimited. If you invoice weekly clients, or split jobs into deposit and final invoices, you can run out early in the year. These six alternatives either have no cap or a much higher one. Invoice Limits Compared

  • Invoice2go: 30 a year (Starter), 100 a year (Professional), unlimited (Premium).
  • InvoiceNexora: unlimited on the Free plan.
  • Wave: unlimited on the free Starter plan.
  • Zoho Invoice: 500 a year on the free plan.
  • Invoice Ninja: unlimited invoices, but the free plan allows 5 clients.
  • Invoice Fly: unlimited on its paid plans ($8.99/week or $98.99/year).
  • Joist: 5 documents a month on Basics; unlimited from Pro ($17/month).

1. InvoiceNexora: Unlimited and Free

InvoiceNexora never counts your invoices. The Free plan includes unlimited invoices and clients, 7 templates, PDF sharing and offline use. It doesn't process payments, so there's no card fee: clients pay you directly by bank, Wise or PayPal. If you bill internationally, you can set the currency and invoice language per invoice. Pro ($9.99/month) adds cloud backup, sync and all 16 templates.

2. Wave: Unlimited Invoicing with Bookkeeping

Wave's free Starter plan includes unlimited invoices and estimates plus basic bookkeeping. Card payments cost 2.9% + $0.60 each on Starter. Automatic reminders and removing Wave's branding need Pro at $19/month. It's a good fit for US and Canadian small businesses that want their books in the same place.

3. Zoho Invoice: Free Up to 500 Invoices a Year

Zoho Invoice is free for up to 500 invoices a year and two users, with estimates, a client portal and apps for iOS, Android, Windows and Mac. Free invoices carry 'Powered by Zoho Invoice' branding. It suits teams that work at a desk; it's heavier to set up than a mobile-first app.

4. Invoice Ninja: Free for 5 Clients

Invoice Ninja's free plan has unlimited invoices but a 5-client limit. Ninja Pro ($14/month or $140/year) removes it. It has native apps on desktop and mobile and lots of settings, which technical users like.

5. Invoice Fly: Paid, but No Invoice Cap

If you like Invoice2go's all-in-one approach, Invoice Fly is the closest match: unlimited invoices and estimates, card payments through Stripe and PayPal, and expense tracking, for $8.99 a week or $98.99 a year after a trial that needs a card. See Invoice Fly alternatives if the price is the issue.

6. Joist: For Contractors

Joist focuses on contractors, with estimates, homeowner financing and job management. It no longer has a free plan, and Basics allows only 5 documents a month, so most users need Pro ($17/month) or higher. Compare it in InvoiceNexora vs Joist.
